Fixed wireless access connects buildings
Fixed
wireless access connects buildings, the places where we
live, shop, work, and spend most of our lives. Within many
buildings are local area networks (LANs), connecting our
PCs, printers, and telephone systems. At some point there
has to be a connection from these LANs to the outside world
and the Internet.
For many, the connection to the Internet is through the
telephone network. Whilst it is sufficient for telephony,
the telephone network has insufficient capacity (narrow
bandwidth) to allow us to send useful amounts of data at
speed. Anyone with a 56k modem will understand that.
The backbone of the Internet is fibre optic cable. This
network delivers unlimited bandwidth at unquestionable
quality of service, but is very expensive. It probably runs
right past your door; under the pavement that you walk on
every day. If only you had access.
AxisBasics bridges the
gap between performance and affordability and as a total
Internet Service Provider, provides you with cost-effective
broadband services. An AxisBasics
fixed wireless access system provides high-speed access to
broadband services using radio technology to avoid the
installation costs associated with networks of cables.
